The project is co-funded by the European Union and the State of Finland under the Renewing and Skilled Finland 2021–2027 programme (Just Transition Fund, JTF).

The objective of the project is to develop and strengthen year-round tourism operations in Ollerovaara by investing in activity infrastructure and supporting facilities. The project includes investments in equipment and structures that enable the development of high-quality tourism services and improve operational capacity and safety.

Eligible measures include investments in activity equipment, construction of supporting facilities and structures, as well as related groundworks and electrical installations necessary for the implementation of the project.

The European Union co-financing amounts to EUR 105,300, covering up to 40% of the approved eligible costs.

Developing Year-Round Ultra-Luxury Tourism

Arctra has received funding from EU for a development project aiming to develop year-round ultra-luxury tourism and enhancing the vitality of our region. The goal of the project is to make the company’s operations year-round and focus development especially on summer and the snow-free season. Likewise, the international networks that are necessary in ultra-luxury tourism are created with the help of the project. In the project, a digital strategy and an internationalization strategy are made for the company.
Approved costs of the project include booth and participation fees related to international trade fairs, as well as travel expenses for attending the fairs, in accordance with the proposed plan. In addition, the project includes developing digital marketing efforts and developing an internationalization strategy for Arctra.
The contribution of a project employee to the project work has been approved for 12 months at 80% working hours. Approved tasks include: developing summer season experience packages for ultra-luxury tourism client groups with attention to cultural details, concept design, participating in the creation of an internationalization strategy and plan, and network building (mapping potential international tour operators in target countries, including initial contacts/meetings, developing partnerships globally with luxury travel agencies, identifying new potential markets, and conducting market research in selected markets).
